The quickest route depends on the benefit account involved. HSA members should call 866-346-5800, which currently provides support 24/7/365. Members with FSAs, HRAs, LSAs, or commuter benefits should use 877-924-3967, while COBRA and Direct Bill participants should call 877-722-2667. HealthEquity members can also sign in to their online or mobile account to access live chat where available.
Before contacting HealthEquity, have the member ID or account information, employer name, transaction date, claim information, card details where relevant, and any prior case number ready. Employers and business administrators should avoid the individual member lines when possible and instead use HSA Client Services at 866-382-3510, Reimbursement Account Client Services at 855-428-0447, or COBRA Client Services at 888-678-4861.
Complaints may involve an HSA transaction, reimbursement, benefits card, FSA or HRA claim, COBRA payment, account access, investment feature, employer-plan administration, privacy, or another HealthEquity service. Before escalating, collect account statements, transaction dates, claim documentation, receipts, employer information, screenshots, and previous support case numbers.
Start with the Member Services number associated with the account. HSA members should use 866-346-5800, reimbursement-account members can use 877-924-3967, and COBRA or Direct Bill members can use 877-722-2667. Ask the representative to document the complaint and provide a case number.
Use specialized support when the complaint concerns a particular benefit. Employers have dedicated HSA, reimbursement-account, and COBRA Client Services teams, while brokers and health plans also have separate support channels. Using the correct department can significantly reduce delays.
If frontline support cannot resolve the issue, request a supervisor or specialist review. Provide the original case number, dates, amount disputed, benefit type, and documentation showing what action has already been requested.
Create a written record through secure member messaging, employer-service email, or another applicable HealthEquity support channel. Privacy complaints can be sent to Privacy@healthequity.com. Written complaints should avoid unnecessary disclosure of sensitive personal information through unsecured email.
Serious unresolved company-level correspondence can be directed to HealthEquity, Inc., 15 West Scenic Pointe Drive, Suite 100, Draper, UT 84020. Include copies of relevant records and clearly identify the account type and requested resolution.
Privacy complaints can be directed to the Privacy Office. Investment concerns may involve HealthEquity Advisors or the applicable investment platform, while employer-sponsored benefit disputes may require coordination with the employer’s benefits administrator because the employer determines many plan rules.
The correct regulator depends on the issue. HSA custodial or financial matters may involve federal financial or tax rules, investment-advice concerns may involve securities regulators, and employer-benefit issues may involve the U.S. Department of Labor or another agency depending on the plan and circumstances.
Consumers can contact the appropriate state Attorney General or consumer-protection agency for qualifying complaints. HealthEquity’s own state-privacy materials identify state regulatory contacts for certain privacy matters, and payment disputes may also involve the relevant financial institution.
If a material financial or legal dispute remains unresolved, review the specific account agreement, custodial agreement, investment terms, COBRA documents, employer-plan documents, and HealthEquity legal terms that govern the service. Those documents determine whether formal administrative review, arbitration, court proceedings, or another dispute mechanism applies.
