Advocate Aurora Health
Advocate Aurora Health is the legal and historical health-system organization formed in 2018 through the combination of Advocate Health Care in Illinois and Aurora Health Care in Wisconsin. It created one of the largest nonprofit health systems in the Midwest, providing hospitals, physician services, outpatient care, pharmacy services, rehabilitation, home health, hospice, specialty medicine, and other healthcare services across Illinois and Wisconsin.
The most important current update is that Advocate Aurora Health is no longer the top-level operating brand or parent health system. In December 2022, Advocate Aurora Health and Atrium Health completed a combination that created Advocate Health. Advocate Aurora Health continues to exist as a legal nonprofit member organization and credit group, but Advocate Health now manages the integrated enterprise. Advocate Health is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, while Aurora Health Care continues a major administrative and clinical presence in Milwaukee and throughout Wisconsin.
Current Advocate Health data reports 69 hospitals, more than 1,000 sites of care, nearly 174,000 teammates, more than 35,000 doctors and aligned medical staff, and more than $32 billion in annual revenue. Within Wisconsin, Aurora Health Care currently operates 18 hospitals, nearly 300 sites of care, and 70 pharmacies. Eugene A. Woods is CEO of Advocate Health, while Gabrielle Finley-Hazle serves as President of the Wisconsin Division and President of Aurora Health Care.
Advocate Aurora Health no longer prominently publishes one universal standalone corporate switchboard under the old system name.

911
For Wisconsin Aurora Health Care billing issues, call 800-326-2250. For questions about a specific medical visit, diagnosis, appointment, treatment, or hospital stay, contact the individual hospital, clinic, physician office, or care team rather than corporate administration. LiveWell users can also send secure messages to providers and billing Customer Service.
For technical problems with LiveWell, call 855-624-9366 or email LiveWellSupport@aah.org. This is different from clinical support, and LiveWell should not be used for emergencies or urgent medical symptoms. Patients should call 911 in an emergency.
If the complaint concerns discrimination, accessibility, or failure to provide language or disability services, use the Civil Rights Coordinator at 750 W. Virginia Street, Milwaukee, WI 53204 rather than ordinary billing support.

Advocate Aurora Health, Inc. still exists as a nonprofit legal entity and member organization within Advocate Health.
However, since December 2022, the top-level integrated organization is Advocate Health, created through the combination of Advocate Aurora Health and Atrium Health.
Complaints may involve hospital care, physician services, billing, privacy, discrimination, accessibility, pharmacy services, LiveWell, patient treatment, staff interactions, or another Advocate or Aurora service. Gather the patient’s name, date of birth, location, date of service, account or visit number, bills, photographs where relevant, and previous correspondence before escalating.
For Wisconsin billing concerns, begin with Aurora billing Customer Service at 800-326-2250. If the issue concerns clinical care, begin with the hospital, clinic, or provider involved rather than the billing team.
Medical complaints should go to the facility’s Patient Relations or care-management team. LiveWell technical issues should use 855-624-9366, and home-health billing should use 877-576-3545. Routing the complaint to the correct department avoids delays.
Ask for the hospital manager, Patient Relations representative, billing supervisor, practice manager, or other department leader when the first contact does not resolve the issue. Explain what happened, what has already been reviewed, and the specific remedy or explanation you want.
Patients can use secure LiveWell messaging for many billing or provider-related concerns. Written civil-rights complaints can be submitted to civilrights@aah.org or mailed to the Civil Rights Coordinator at 750 W. Virginia Street, Milwaukee, WI 53204.
For Wisconsin administrative escalation, send formal correspondence to Aurora Health Care Administrative Offices, 750 W. Virginia Street, Milwaukee, WI 53204. Identify the hospital, clinic, account, and previous Patient Relations or Customer Service contacts so the complaint can be investigated efficiently.
Civil-rights or discrimination complaints can be filed with the Advocate Health Office of Civil Rights. Billing complaints should remain in the patient financial-services process, while privacy concerns should use the organization’s privacy office. Patient Relations can assist with formal service-delivery grievances.
Healthcare complaints may be submitted to the appropriate state licensing agency, health department, professional board, or federal regulator depending on the issue. Wisconsin civil-rights complaints can also be submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services Office of Civil Rights Compliance.
Billing or financial complaints may involve insurers or applicable consumer channels, while hospital-quality and safety issues may be eligible for review by accreditation or healthcare-quality organizations. Civil-rights complaints can also be submitted to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights.
For serious unresolved medical, privacy, billing, or civil-rights disputes, review applicable consent forms, patient agreements, insurance contracts, and state law before taking formal legal action. Consider independent legal counsel when substantial financial loss, alleged malpractice, privacy injury, or statutory rights are involved.
