How to File a Complaint Against RBFCU

Members filing a complaint involving an account, loan, mortgage, card, disputed transaction, fraud, fee, employee interaction, or service concern should collect account records, dates, transaction details, correspondence, and existing case numbers before escalating.

Step 1: Contact RBFCU Member Services

Begin by calling 210-945-3300 or use secure chat after signing into Online Banking. Explain the concern clearly and provide transaction dates, account type, branch location, and previous communication details. Ask the representative to document the complaint and provide any available case or confirmation number. Do not send sensitive account information through unsecured email.

Step 2: Use the Appropriate Specialized Department

For disputed card transactions or suspected fraud, use the Online Banking dispute process or call 210-945-3300. Mortgage servicing notices of error or requests for information must be sent to RBFCU, Attn: Mortgage Servicing, P.O. Box 2247, Universal City, TX 78148-2247. Collections issues can be directed to 1-888-556-2965.

Step 3: Request Supervisor or Management Review

If the first contact does not resolve the issue, ask for review by a supervisor or the department responsible for the account. Provide a concise timeline, previous case information, copies of supporting documents, and the specific resolution you are seeking. Keep notes of representative names, dates, and promised follow-up.

Step 4: Send Formal Written Correspondence

For a serious unresolved complaint, mail correspondence to RBFCU, P.O. Box 2097, Universal City, TX 78148-2097. Include your contact details, account type, branch or department involved, dates, prior complaint history, and copies of supporting documents. Do not mail original records unless specifically required.

Step 5: Contact the Appropriate External Regulator if Necessary

If a federally insured credit-union complaint remains unresolved, the appropriate external channel can include the National Credit Union Administration Consumer Assistance Center, depending on the nature of the complaint. Mortgage, discrimination, privacy, payment, or consumer-protection disputes may also involve other federal or state regulators. Keep all correspondence, statements, case numbers, and RBFCU responses before escalating.
