Cadence Bank
Cadence Bank
Cadence Bank was a major regional bank serving consumers, businesses, corporations, municipalities, and institutional customers across the southern United States. Its services included checking and savings accounts, mortgages, commercial banking, treasury management, credit cards, wealth management, trust services, equipment leasing, investment services, and business lending. Before its acquisition, Cadence operated with dual headquarters in Houston, Texas and Tupelo, Mississippi and maintained hundreds of branches across nine states.
The modern Cadence organization was formed through the combination of BancorpSouth Bank and Cadence Bancorporation, after which the company adopted the Cadence Bank name. By the end of 2025, the bank had approximately $54 billion in assets, about $37 billion in loans, and approximately $44 billion in deposits, making it one of the larger regional banks in the South.
A major current correction is required for this page. Cadence Bank ceased to exist as a separate bank on February 1, 2026, when it merged into The Huntington National Bank as part of Huntington Bancshares Incorporated’s acquisition. Huntington completed the Cadence systems conversion in mid-June 2026, and former Cadence branches and customers were transitioned onto Huntington’s platform and brand. Therefore, Cadence Bank should now be presented as a former banking entity and legacy brand, not an independent current bank.
Cadence Bank no longer has an independent current headquarters because the bank’s separate legal existence ended on February 1, 2026.

Because Cadence Bank has been legally merged into Huntington National Bank and the systems conversion was completed in June 2026, former Cadence customers should now contact Huntington Bank, not a separate Cadence corporate office. Huntington stated that the June conversion was the final major integration milestone, meaning former Cadence accounts and branches now operate through Huntington’s systems.
If you were a Cadence customer, have your current Huntington account number, former Cadence account information if relevant, debit-card details, branch location, transaction dates, loan number, mortgage number, or business-account information available. For matters involving a former Cadence branch, visiting or calling the same local location may still be useful because Huntington retained much of the branch network and customer-facing staff during integration.
For complaints involving legacy transactions that occurred before conversion, tell the Huntington representative that the issue originated with Cadence Bank and provide the original date and documentation. This helps the current servicing team search converted account records and distinguish a legacy Cadence matter from a post-conversion Huntington transaction.
Because Cadence Bank no longer exists as a separate institution, complaints should now generally be filed through Huntington. Gather account statements, transaction records, correspondence, loan or mortgage documents, branch information, dates, and any previous Cadence case numbers before escalating.
Start with Huntington Customer Service or the local former Cadence branch that now operates as Huntington. Explain that the issue involves a legacy Cadence account if the transaction occurred before the June 2026 conversion. Provide the account information, date, and specific disputed amount or service problem.
For mortgage, fraud, deposit, commercial banking, treasury-management, or wealth issues, ask to be transferred to the appropriate Huntington department. Legacy Cadence products were moved onto Huntington systems, so the correct post-merger team must now handle the investigation.
If the first representative cannot resolve the complaint, request a supervisor or branch manager. Provide old Cadence statements or communications if the matter predates conversion, along with any current Huntington documentation.
Submit a written complaint through Huntington’s secure-message, written correspondence, or official complaint process. Written records are especially important for disputes involving fees, loan servicing, fraud, credit reporting, or account conversion.
Serious unresolved matters can be escalated to
Huntington Bancshares Incorporated
41 South High Street
Columbus, OH 43287
Include the former Cadence account or branch information and explain that the issue originated before or during the merger conversion.
Fraud, mortgage servicing, credit reporting, commercial lending, or trust complaints should be routed to the specialized Huntington department that now owns the account. A general call-center representative may not have authority to resolve regulated financial disputes.
Banking complaints can be escalated to the appropriate federal banking regulator depending on the issue and entity involved. Consumer financial complaints may also be submitted to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau for qualifying products and services.
Customers can also consider state banking regulators, state Attorneys General, credit-reporting disputes, card-network dispute procedures, or payment-error processes depending on the complaint. Keep both legacy Cadence and current Huntington records together.
If the matter remains unresolved, review the applicable deposit agreement, loan documents, mortgage contract, treasury-management agreement, or other account terms. Because the legal bank changed through merger, formal correspondence should identify both the original Cadence relationship and the current Huntington servicing entity.
