Kellanova
Kellanova
Kellanova is the global snacks and convenience-food business created from the former Kellogg Company following the separation of its North American cereal operations in October 2023. The company’s heritage dates to 1906, when the Kellogg business was established in Battle Creek, Michigan. After the 2023 separation, Kellanova focused on global snacking, international cereal and noodles, and selected North American frozen and convenience-food categories through brands including Pringles, Cheez-It, Pop-Tarts, Rice Krispies Treats, RXBAR, Eggo, MorningStar Farms, and Kellogg’s-branded products outside the spun-off North American cereal business.
The most important current corporate change is that Kellanova is no longer an independent publicly traded company. Mars, Incorporated completed its acquisition of Kellanova on December 11, 2025, following final regulatory clearance. The approximately $35.9 billion transaction brought Kellanova’s portfolio into Mars and significantly expanded the Mars Snacking business.
Following the acquisition, former Kellanova brands are being integrated into Mars Snacking, which now has more than 50,000 associates and partners worldwide. In March 2026, Mars announced a major expansion of Mars Snacking’s global and North American operations in Chicago. The former Kellanova Chicago headquarters is being repurposed as a Mars Snacking global office hub, while Kellanova’s historic Battle Creek operations and manufacturing presence continue to remain important to the business.

Have the product name, UPC, package size, lot or production code, best-if-used-by date, purchase location, receipt, and photographs ready when reporting a product-quality concern. These details are particularly important for food-safety issues because the company may need to identify a specific manufacturing run.

Complaints may involve food quality, foreign material, damaged packaging, ingredients, allergens, stale products, incorrect labeling, coupons, promotions, consumer-service interactions, or a potential health or safety issue. Keep the package, UPC, lot code, expiration or best-by date, receipt, photographs, purchase location, and previous correspondence before escalating.
Call Kellanova Consumer Affairs at 800-962-1413. Provide the product name, flavor or variety, package size, UPC, manufacturing or lot code, best-by date, purchase location, and a detailed description of the complaint.
If the issue concerns a particular recall or food-safety incident, use the contact details in that specific notice. For example, the June 2026 MorningStar Farms recall provided 800-962-0120 and 877-453-5837 specifically for affected consumers.
If the first Consumer Affairs representative cannot resolve the complaint, request further review. Provide the existing case number and clearly explain whether you are requesting a refund, replacement, investigation, allergy review, packaging review, or another outcome.
Use the relevant product or Consumer Affairs online form to create a written record. Include photographs of the packaging, product, lot code, UPC, and receipt where possible. Keep a copy of everything submitted.
For an unresolved corporate matter, correspondence may be directed to the former Kellanova operating office at 412 N. Wells Street, Chicago, IL 60654 while integration into Mars Snacking continues. Battle Creek remains another important company location for consumer and product operations.
Food-safety, allergen, contamination, recall, and injury-related complaints should be clearly identified as safety matters rather than routine product feedback. Preserve the product and packaging unless the company or a regulator instructs otherwise, particularly if the complaint could require laboratory analysis.
For food-safety complaints, the proper federal regulator may be the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or U.S. Department of Agriculture, depending on the food product and regulatory jurisdiction. State health or agriculture authorities may also have jurisdiction.
Promotional, refund, deceptive-advertising, or consumer-purchase complaints may also be submitted to the appropriate state Attorney General or consumer-protection agency. Payment disputes involving a direct online transaction may additionally be raised with the payment provider where appropriate.
If a complaint involves significant injury, documented financial loss, or another serious unresolved legal claim, review any applicable product terms and consider consulting a qualified attorney. Preserve the packaging, medical records where relevant, receipts, photographs, company communications, and regulator reports before pursuing formal action.
