Mercedes-Benz USA
Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is the official U.S. distributor and marketing arm of Mercedes-Benz — the German luxury automobile manufacturer — responsible for the distribution, marketing, sales, and customer service of all Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, vans, and AMG performance vehicles across the United States. Headquartered at One Mercedes-Benz Drive in Sandy Springs, Georgia (a suburb of Atlanta), MBUSA operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz Group AG — the Stuttgart, Germany-based global parent company led by Chairman Ola Källenius. MBUSA relocated its headquarters from Montvale, New Jersey to Sandy Springs in 2018 — opening a striking 200,000-square-foot, LEED Silver-certified glass headquarters building on a 12-acre campus near Georgia 400.
MBUSA is led by President and CEO Adam Chamberlain and is undergoing a major North American expansion. In May 2025, Governor Brian Kemp announced that Mercedes-Benz would establish Atlanta as its official North American Headquarters — consolidating key corporate functions and moving up to 500 additional jobs to the existing “1MB” Sandy Springs facility, with the expansion expected to be completed by August 2026. MBUSA reported Q1 2026 retail sales of 78,500 vehicles — led by strong SUV demand with GLC, GLE, and GLS accounting for 61% of passenger car sales. The brand is targeting 400,000 annual U.S. sales by 2030, backed by a $7 billion U.S. investment commitment and $4 billion in its Alabama manufacturing plant through 2030.

Mercedes-Benz USA has been headquartered in Sandy Springs, Georgia since 2018 — when the brand made its landmark relocation from Montvale, New Jersey, where it had been based since 1965, to its striking new purpose-built glass campus in metro Atlanta. The current headquarters — known internally as “1MB” (One Mercedes-Benz Drive) — is a 200,000-square-foot, five-story, LEED Silver-certified glass building situated on a 12-acre campus in the Central Perimeter office submarket of Sandy Springs, approximately 14 miles north of downtown Atlanta near Georgia Highway 400. The campus was designed by Gensler with a 1:1 ratio of collaborative to individual workspace, featuring a full conference center, café with a barista, a 5,000-square-foot fitness center, on-site childcare, a rooftop deck, and one of the most impressive automotive display atriums in corporate America. As of 2025, the campus is undergoing a major expansion to accommodate up to 500 additional employees as part of Mercedes-Benz’s establishment of Atlanta as its official North American Headquarters — growing the facility from approximately 800 to 1,300+ employees by August 2026.
