It is the world’s largest prepaid debit card company by market capitalization. Green Dot is also a payments platform company and is the technology platform used by Apple Pay Cash, Uber, and Intuit. The company’s Green Dot Bank subsidiary provides issuing, settlement, and capital management services and garners interest from capital investments and deposits. The company makes most of its money from the new card, monthly maintenance, and ATM fees.
