About Indeed
Indeed is a global employment and hiring platform that connects job seekers with employers. The service allows people to search jobs, build profiles, upload resumes, research companies, compare salaries, receive job alerts, and apply for opportunities, while employers can post positions, sponsor listings, search for candidates, manage recruiting activity, and use AI-powered hiring tools. Indeed currently operates in more than 60 countries and describes itself as the world’s number-one job site based on traffic.
Indeed was founded in 2004 and later became part of Japanese human-resources and technology group Recruit Holdings. The company remains a core component of Recruit’s global HR Technology business and now uses large-scale proprietary hiring data and artificial intelligence to match candidates with employers more efficiently. Current Indeed data reports approximately 685 million verified job-seeker profiles, more than 3.5 million employers using Indeed to hire, and approximately 31 hires per minute as of March 2026.
Indeed’s current U.S. contracting entity is Indeed, Inc., with its official U.S. address at Indeed Tower, 200 West 6th Street, Floor 36, Austin, TX 78701. Current leadership identifies Hisayuki “Deko” Idekoba as President and Chief Executive Officer of Indeed as well as President and CEO of Recruit Holdings. This represents an important current update because older directory pages may list earlier Austin office addresses or previous Indeed leadership.

Indeed Products & Services
Job Search
Indeed allows job seekers to search millions of listings by title, employer, location, remote-work status, salary, experience level, and other criteria. Search results combine jobs posted directly on Indeed with eligible indexed listings from employer career sites and other sources, helping users compare opportunities through one platform.
Indeed Profile
Job seekers can create a profile containing employment history, skills, preferences, and other professional information. Profiles help users apply more efficiently and may allow employers to discover potential candidates where visibility and privacy settings permit.
Resume Upload and Resume Tools
Indeed enables job seekers to upload or build resumes for applications. These tools are designed to reduce repetitive application work and can support employer discovery when users choose settings that allow recruiters to find their profiles.
Job Alerts
Job alerts notify users when new opportunities match selected search criteria. Alerts can be customized by role, location, employer, keyword, and other preferences, helping job seekers monitor openings without manually repeating the same search every day.
My Jobs
My Jobs allows users to save listings and track applications. It also provides tools for reporting questionable or fraudulent jobs from saved or applied positions, giving users a centralized place to manage their job-search activity.
Company Pages
Indeed Company Pages provide employer information, reviews, salary data, workplace insights, and other content that can help candidates research companies before applying. These pages combine employer-provided information with user-generated content where available.
Company Reviews
Employees and former employees can submit workplace reviews subject to Indeed’s policies. Reviews can help job seekers evaluate management, culture, compensation, work-life balance, and other factors before deciding whether to apply.
Salary Information
Indeed provides salary information across occupations, employers, and locations. These tools help candidates estimate typical compensation levels and may also assist employers when designing competitive pay ranges.
Employer Job Posting
Employers can post jobs directly on Indeed and manage those listings through the Employer Dashboard. The platform supports job descriptions, candidate applications, screening tools, communication, and other recruiting workflows.
Sponsored Jobs
Sponsored Jobs are paid listings designed to increase visibility in search results and job alerts. Indeed currently positions Sponsored Jobs as an inbound recruiting option for employers who want more qualified candidates to discover their openings.
Premium Sponsored Jobs
Premium Sponsored Jobs provide enhanced visibility and additional matching or branding features for qualifying employers. Indeed describes the service as a higher-visibility option that can include Advanced Matching, invitations to matched candidates, and branded job elements.
Smart Sourcing
Indeed Smart Sourcing helps employers proactively find and contact candidates whose experience and preferences appear to align with open positions. Instead of relying entirely on incoming applications, employers can search and engage candidates who are identified through Indeed’s matching technology.
Matched Candidates
Indeed can surface potential candidates based on skills, experience, job preferences, and role requirements. These matching tools are intended to reduce irrelevant applications and help employers identify stronger potential fits more efficiently.
Employer Dashboard
The Employer Dashboard centralizes job postings, candidates, employer support, recruiting activity, and related tools. Current employer support instructions also direct users to the Dashboard to access available chat, phone, or messaging assistance.
Screener Questions
Employers can use screener questions to collect role-specific information from applicants and identify whether candidates meet basic requirements. These questions can help hiring teams prioritize applicants before moving to interviews or deeper evaluation.
Indeed Messaging
Indeed provides messaging functionality allowing employers and candidates to communicate about applications and job opportunities. Users can also report spam or suspicious communications directly from Indeed Messages.
Job Safety and Fraud Reporting
Indeed gives job seekers tools to report fraudulent, spammy, misleading, inaccurate, discriminatory, or non-job listings. Reports can be submitted directly from a job post, and Indeed may review, edit, or remove listings that violate its rules.
AI-Powered Matching
Indeed increasingly uses AI and proprietary employment data to improve job matching, candidate recommendations, employer sourcing, and hiring workflows. The company describes itself as becoming an AI-first organization focused on making employment matching faster and more effective.
Employer Support
Employers can access support through chat, phone, or messaging after signing into the Employer Dashboard where those options are available. If an employer cannot sign in, Indeed recommends using the Employer Help Center to create a case.
Job Seeker Help Center
The Job Seeker Help Center provides support for accounts, resumes, applications, messages, company reviews, technical problems, scams, and other platform questions. Users can search articles or initiate contact through the available support interface.

Users can type “talk to a person” when interacting with the virtual assistant to request a human support representative.

arbitration-disputes@indeed.com
This is a formal legal-dispute contact, not routine Customer Service.
Investor Relations Number
Not applicable at the Indeed subsidiary level.
Human Resources Number
Indeed does not publish one universal public applicant HR number.
Applicants should use Indeed Careers.
International Support Number
Support channels vary by country.
Indeed states that employer phone-support numbers and availability can differ by region.
How to Reach a Real Person at Indeed
Employers should sign into the Employer Dashboard, select Help, search for the issue, and choose Contact us when self-service material does not resolve the problem. Indeed currently allows qualifying users to access chat, phone, or message support through that area. During a chat, typing “talk to a person” can request transfer from the virtual assistant to a human support representative.
Job seekers should begin in the Job Seeker Help Center, where support is organized around account access, applications, resumes, messages, reviews, safety, and technical issues. Because Indeed does not publish one universal consumer telephone number, using the official Help Center is more reliable than using telephone numbers found on unofficial directory sites.

How to File a Complaint Against Indeed
A complaint may involve a suspicious job posting, employer billing, account suspension, application issue, fraudulent communication, company review, privacy concern, or another Indeed product. Keep your account email, job-post ID, employer name, screenshots, billing records, messages, dates, and existing case numbers so Indeed can investigate the issue without requiring you to reconstruct the history later.
Step 1: Use the Appropriate Indeed Help Center
Start with the Job Seeker Help Center or Employer Help Center depending on your account type. Search for the issue first, then use the Contact option when the available articles do not resolve it. Employers who can sign in should normally use the Employer Dashboard because it can display account-specific chat, phone, and messaging options.
Step 2: Report Fraudulent or Misleading Job Listings
If the complaint concerns a suspicious job, select Report job directly from the listing. Indeed allows reporting for fake jobs, inaccurate descriptions, discriminatory content, advertisements disguised as jobs, and other policy violations. Provide detailed information explaining what appears fraudulent or misleading.
Step 3: Report Suspicious Messages
If a recruiter or employer sends inappropriate or fraudulent communication through Indeed Messages, open the conversation and use Report Spam. Include enough information for Indeed to understand the concern, then avoid responding further if you believe the communication is fraudulent.
Step 4: Create an Employer Support Case
Employers who cannot resolve a job-posting, billing, hiring-tool, or account issue can create a case through the Employer Help Center. Provide the account email, job-post ID, billing details where relevant, screenshots, and a clear explanation of the desired resolution. Indeed provides a case number that can be used for follow-up.
Step 5: Request Human Support
Employers using chat can type talk to a person to request a human representative. If phone support is available for the account and region, it will appear within the Dashboard. This is preferable to searching the internet for an unofficial number because Indeed states that its telephone availability varies by country.
Step 6: Escalate Scam or Identity-Theft Concerns
If money or sensitive information has been lost through a job scam, contact your financial institution promptly and report the job or message to Indeed. Indeed also advises victims to report online fraud to appropriate authorities and take steps to secure compromised accounts and devices.
Step 7: Send Formal Legal Notice When Applicable
For disputes subject to Indeed’s U.S. arbitration provision, current Terms require notice by email to arbitration-disputes@indeed.com or by certified mail/Federal Express to Indeed, Inc., c/o CT Corporation, Attn: Indeed Legal Team, 1999 Bryan Street, Suite 900, Dallas, TX 75201. A mandatory 45-day informal dispute-resolution period applies before arbitration in covered cases.
Step 8: Use the Appropriate External Consumer or Employment Authority
Depending on the issue, an unresolved matter may also involve a state consumer-protection agency, Attorney General, labor authority, privacy regulator, banking institution, or law-enforcement agency. Scam victims should not rely solely on Indeed if money, identity documents, or financial credentials have been compromised.
Step 9: Preserve Your Case Records
Save screenshots, email confirmations, job-post IDs, employer names, chat transcripts, case numbers, billing records, and formal notices. A clear paper trail is particularly useful if an account restriction or billing dispute continues, or if you need to demonstrate fraudulent activity to an outside authority.
