Buc-ee’s
About Buc-ee’s
Buc-ee’s is one of America’s most beloved and fast-growing travel center and convenience store chains, famous for its enormous store footprints, spotlessly clean restrooms, massive fuel canopies, house-made food, and the iconic beaver mascot that graces its merchandise, signage, and branding. Founded in 1982 by Arch “Beaver” Aplin III in Lake Jackson, Texas — where the company remains headquartered today — Buc-ee’s spent its first 37 years growing exclusively within the state of Texas before opening its first out-of-state location in Robertsdale, Alabama in January 2019. Since then, the company has accelerated rapidly, now operating approximately 69 locations across 14 states including Texas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, Colorado, Mississippi, Virginia, Arizona, Nebraska, and Ohio. Buc-ee’s holds the distinction of operating the world’s largest convenience store — a 75,593 square-foot location in Luling, Texas — and is currently in its most aggressive expansion phase ever, with a $1 to $1.5 billion pipeline of 17+ new locations planned through 2031 across 8 new states. The company is entirely privately held by Arch Aplin III, who serves as President, CEO, and Founder, and employs more than 6,000 people nationwide.

Important Note on Customer Service
Buc-ee’s does not publish a dedicated toll-free customer service phone number. The company manages all customer feedback, complaints, and inquiries exclusively through its online contact form at buc-ees.com/contact/ and via email at consumerrequest@buc-ees.com. As of March 2026, Buc-ee’s received an “F” rating from the Better Business Bureau for failing to respond to approximately 90 consumer complaints — an issue the company has been publicly called out for. Customers are strongly advised to submit detailed complaints in writing and follow up persistently.
How to Reach a Real Person at Buc-ee’s
Unlike most major retail chains, Buc-ee’s does not operate a public-facing customer service phone number, making it one of the most difficult major retailers to contact directly. The only official channels available to customers are the online contact form at buc-ees.com/contact/ and the consumer request email at consumerrequest@buc-ees.com. When submitting a complaint or inquiry through the online contact form, include as much detail as possible: the store location, date of visit, your receipt number or last four digits of the credit or debit card used, and a detailed description of the issue.
For billing disputes involving unauthorized charges to a credit or debit card at a Buc-ee’s fuel pump or in-store terminal, Buc-ee’s advises customers to contact their card issuer directly for cancellation and replacement rather than routing the issue through Buc-ee’s. For lost items, submit the online contact form with a detailed description including type, brand, model, size, and color, along with the store location and date — Buc-ee’s team members review lost and found submissions and will follow up if the item is found. For fuel pump card fraud, Buc-ee’s customer service team reviews video recordings when the receipt number or last four digits of the card are provided.
Buc-ee’s Headquarters & Corporate Office Address
Buc-ee’s Holdings, Inc. operates its primary corporate headquarters at 327 FM 2004 Road in Lake Jackson, Texas — the same small city in Brazoria County, approximately 50 miles south of Houston, where Arch Aplin III opened the original Buc-ee’s store in 1982. The Lake Jackson address serves as the registered headquarters for both Buc-ee’s Holdings, Inc. and Buc-ee’s, Ltd., the operating entity, and houses the company’s executive leadership, real estate development, finance, merchandising, and corporate operations teams. In 2016, Buc-ee’s also established a partial corporate presence in Pearland, Texas — a Houston suburb — to house its legal and human resources departments as the company’s headcount and geographic footprint began to expand beyond Texas.

How to File a Complaint Against Buc-ee’s
Step 1 — Speak With the Store Manager On-Site
For the fastest and most effective resolution, speak directly with the on-site store manager at the Buc-ee’s location where your issue occurred. Buc-ee’s store managers have authority to resolve most in-store complaints including overcharges, product quality issues, and customer experience concerns on the spot. Given that Buc-ee’s does not operate a phone-based customer service center, resolving your complaint in person is always the most reliable first step.
Step 2 — Submit the Online Contact Form
If your complaint cannot be resolved in person, submit a detailed complaint through Buc-ee’s official contact form at buc-ees.com/contact/. Include the store location, your date of visit, your receipt number or the last four digits of your payment card, and a thorough description of the issue. For billing disputes involving fuel pumps, provide the pump number and transaction details so the team can pull the video recording. Be aware that Buc-ee’s response times are inconsistent — many customers report receiving no response.
Step 3 — Email the Consumer Request Team
For data privacy, unauthorized charge disputes, and formal consumer requests, email consumerrequest@buc-ees.com. Include your full name, contact information, the nature of your request, and all supporting documentation. Under applicable state privacy laws, Buc-ee’s is required to respond to verified consumer requests within a mandated timeframe.
Step 4 — Contact the Corporate Office by Mail
If your complaint goes unanswered through the online form and email, write a formal complaint letter to Buc-ee’s Holdings, Inc., 327 FM 2004 Road, Lake Jackson, Texas 77566. Include your full name, return contact information, the store location, date of visit, a description of your complaint, all previous contact attempts, and the resolution you are requesting.
Step 5 — Dispute the Charge With Your Bank
For any billing error or unauthorized charge at a Buc-ee’s fuel pump or in-store terminal, contact your credit card company or bank directly to file a transaction dispute or chargeback. This is especially recommended given Buc-ee’s limited customer service responsiveness and is the most effective tool for resolving financial disputes quickly.
Step 6 — File a BBB Complaint
File a public complaint with the Better Business Bureau at www.bbb.org. As of March 2026, Buc-ee’s holds an “F” rating with the BBB due to its failure to respond to consumer complaints — meaning a BBB complaint may not be resolved but creates an official public record. Filing nevertheless adds to the public documentation of consumer issues and may attract media or regulatory attention.
Step 7 — File a Complaint With the Texas Attorney General
If your complaint involves unfair or deceptive business practices in Texas, file a formal complaint with the Texas Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division at texasattorneygeneral.gov or by calling 1-800-621-0508. For complaints at Buc-ee’s locations in other states, contact your respective state Attorney General’s consumer protection office.
