Fubo, legally FuboTV Inc., is a live television streaming company focused on sports, news, entertainment, and multichannel television delivered over the internet. The Fubo service began as a sports-oriented streaming platform and developed into a major U.S. virtual multichannel video programming distributor, commonly called a vMVPD. It offers live television channels, sports packages, cloud DVR functionality, entertainment programming, and add-on packages without a traditional cable connection.
A major corporate transformation took place on October 29, 2025, when Fubo completed its business combination with The Walt Disney Company’s Hulu + Live TV business. Following the transaction, Disney held approximately 70% of the combined Fubo company, while legacy Fubo shareholders held approximately 30%. Fubo and Hulu + Live TV continue to operate as separate consumer offerings, while FuboTV Inc. now owns Fubo, Hulu + Live TV, and Molotov.
Leadership also changed in 2026. On July 10, 2026, Alisa Bowen became Chief Executive Officer of FuboTV Inc., succeeding co-founder David Gandler. Bowen previously led Disney+ and held senior leadership roles across Disney’s streaming operations. Fubo remains publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under ticker FUBO, but is now a controlled company and an affiliate of Disney.
