Carnival Cruise Line
About Carnival Cruise Line
Carnival Cruise Line is the world’s most popular cruise line and the flagship brand of Miami-based Carnival Corporation & plc — the largest cruise company on the planet. Founded in 1972 by Ted Arison in Miami, Florida with a single converted ocean liner, Carnival pioneered the concept of “Fun Ships” and transformed cruising from an elite pastime into a mainstream vacation option available to millions of Americans every year. Today, Carnival Cruise Line operates a fleet of 29 ships homeporting from North America, Europe, and Australia, sailing nearly six million guests annually across the Caribbean, Bahamas, Mexico, Alaska, Europe, and beyond. The cruise line is a wholly owned subsidiary of Carnival Corporation & plc, which trades on both the New York Stock Exchange and London Stock Exchange under the ticker symbols CCL and CUK and reports to CEO Josh Weinstein. Carnival Cruise Line is led by President Christine Duffy, the first female president in the brand’s history, who has served in the role since 2015 and has overseen the introduction of next-generation Excel-class ships, the first roller coasters at sea, and the opening of Celebration Key — Carnival’s exclusive destination in the Bahamas — in July 2025. Carnival’s corporate headquarters is located at 3655 NW 87th Avenue in Doral, Florida, with a new state-of-the-art campus at Miami’s Waterford Business District scheduled to open in 2028.

Carnival also has an active social media presence — its @CarnivalCruise account on X (Twitter) and Facebook typically responds to direct messages within a few hours on weekdays and is effective for escalating urgent unresolved concerns.
Carnival Cruise Line Headquarters & Corporate Office Address
Carnival Cruise Line and its parent company Carnival Corporation & plc currently operate their corporate headquarters at 3655 NW 87th Avenue in Doral, Florida — a western Miami-Dade suburb where the company has been based since 1983. The Doral campus sits on 18 acres and houses executive leadership, marketing, finance, ship operations, guest services, and all major corporate functions for the Carnival Cruise Line brand and the broader Carnival Corporation family of cruise lines.
In May 2025, Carnival Corporation announced it had purchased a 15-acre parcel in Miami’s Waterford Business District — just south of Miami International Airport — to build a brand new state-of-the-art global headquarters campus. The planned 600,000 to 700,000 square-foot multi-building campus will for the first time unite most of Carnival Corporation’s North American team members under one roof, consolidating employees from Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, Seabourn, Cunard, and Costa Cruises. The new campus is expected to be completed and operational by 2028. Until that time, 3655 NW 87th Avenue in Doral remains the active headquarters.

How to File a Complaint Against Carnival Cruise Line
Step 1 — Resolve the Issue Onboard
The most effective first step for any onboard complaint is to visit the Guest Services Desk on your Carnival ship while still aboard. Guest Services representatives are empowered to resolve most complaints on the spot, including cabin issues, dining complaints, billing disputes, and shore excursion problems. Resolving issues onboard is always faster than pursuing post-voyage claims and ensures the problem is documented within Carnival’s internal system.
Step 2 — Call Guest Solutions After Your Cruise
If your complaint was not resolved onboard, call Carnival’s Guest Solutions line at 1-800-929-6400 within 30 days of disembarkation. Have your booking number, ship name, sailing dates, and a description of your complaint ready. Ask the representative to formally log your concern and provide a case reference number for follow-up. The line is available Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM ET and Saturday through Sunday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM ET.
Step 3 — Email the Guest Solutions Team
For a formal written record of your complaint, email guestsolutionssupport@carnival.com. Include your full name, booking reference number, sailing date, ship name, a detailed description of the complaint, any prior contacts made, and supporting photos or documentation. Written responses typically take 14 to 21 business days.
Step 4 — Write to the Corporate Office
If your complaint remains unresolved after contacting Guest Solutions, write a formal complaint letter to Carnival Corporation & plc, 3655 NW 87th Avenue, Doral, Florida 33178, Attn: Guest Solutions. Document all previous resolution attempts, attach all supporting evidence, and clearly state the specific outcome you are requesting.
Step 5 — File a Complaint With the FMC
File a formal complaint with the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) — the U.S. federal agency that regulates cruise lines operating in American waters — at www.fmc.gov/resources-services/consumer-assistance-and-dispute-resolution. The FMC’s cruise dispute resolution program is a free service that helps passengers resolve unresolved complaints against any cruise line operating in U.S. waters.
Step 6 — File a BBB Complaint
File a public complaint with the Better Business Bureau at www.bbb.org. Carnival Cruise Line is registered with the BBB and a public complaint filing typically prompts a faster corporate response within 14 days.
Step 7 — Contact Your Credit Card Issuer
If your complaint involves unauthorized charges or unfulfilled cruise services, contact your credit card company to initiate a chargeback dispute. Most issuers allow disputes within 60 to 120 days of the transaction date, adding additional financial pressure on Carnival to resolve the complaint.
