Sanmina Corporation is an American electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider headquartered in San Jose, California that serves original equipment manufacturers in communications and computer hardware fields. The firm has nearly 80 manufacturing sites and is one of the world’s largest independent manufacturers of printed circuit boards and backplanes. Besides products, Sanmina provides services such as engineering, global supply chain management, after-market product service and support, and order fulfilment and logistics services. Its customers are OEMs in the defence, medical, aerospace, telecommunications, and technology industries, among others. The company gets the majority of its sales from outside the US. Sanmina was founded in 1980 in Silicon Valley.
