About Princess Cruises
Princess Cruises is one of the world’s most celebrated premium cruise lines, renowned for its fleet of modern ships, diverse worldwide itineraries, and exceptional onboard guest experiences. Founded in 1965 by Stanley McDonald in Los Angeles, California, Princess began as a single-ship charter operation and grew into a global cruise powerhouse that today operates a fleet of 16 ships sailing to over 380 destinations across more than 100 countries on more than 160 itineraries. Princess Cruises is a wholly owned subsidiary of Carnival Corporation & plc, the world’s largest cruise company, which trades on both the New York Stock Exchange and London Stock Exchange under the ticker symbols CCL and CUK. The cruise line is currently led by President Gus Antorcha, who assumed the role on December 2, 2024, reporting to Carnival Corporation & plc CEO Josh Weinstein. Princess Cruises generates approximately $4.5 billion in annual revenue and has approximately 30,000 employees and shipboard crew members worldwide. The corporate headquarters is presently located at 24305 Town Center Drive in Santa Clarita, California, though Princess has officially announced plans to relocate its global headquarters to Miami-Dade County, Florida, by 2028.

How to File a Complaint Against Princess Cruises
Step 1 — Resolve the Issue Onboard First
The most effective first step for any onboard complaint is to speak with the Guest Services Desk on your ship during the cruise. Guest Services representatives are empowered to resolve most onboard issues including cabin problems, dining complaints, billing disputes, and shore excursion issues while you are still on the ship. Resolving issues onboard produces the fastest outcome and avoids the longer post-voyage follow-up process.
Step 2 — Contact Guest Services After Your Voyage
If your complaint was not resolved onboard, call Princess Cruises Guest Services at 1-800-774-6237 within 30 days of disembarkation. Have your booking number, sailing dates, ship name, and a detailed description of your complaint ready. Request that your complaint be formally logged and ask for a case reference number. Guest Services is available Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM PT and weekends 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM PT.
Step 3 — Email the Customer Relations Team
For a formal written record of your complaint, email customerrelations@princesscruises.com. Include your full name, booking reference number, sailing date and ship name, a detailed description of the issue, any prior contacts made, and supporting photos or documentation. Written responses typically take 14 to 21 business days.
Step 4 — Write to the Corporate Office
For serious unresolved complaints, send a formal written letter to Princess Cruises, 24305 Town Center Drive, Santa Clarita, California 91355, Attn: Customer Relations. Clearly document the issue, all previous resolution attempts, supporting evidence, and the specific outcome you are requesting.
Step 5 — File a Complaint With the FMC
File a formal complaint with the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) — the U.S. federal agency that regulates cruise lines operating in American waters. Visit www.fmc.gov/resources-services/consumer-assistance-and-dispute-resolution to submit your complaint online. The FMC’s cruise dispute resolution program can assist passengers with unresolved complaints against any cruise line operating in U.S. waters.
Step 6 — File a BBB Complaint
File a public complaint with the Better Business Bureau at www.bbb.org. Princess Cruises is registered with the BBB and a public complaint filing typically prompts a faster corporate response within 14 days.
Step 7 — Contact Your Credit Card Issuer
If your complaint involves unauthorized charges or unfulfilled cruise services you paid for, contact your credit card company to initiate a chargeback dispute. Most credit card issuers allow disputes to be filed within 60 to 120 days of the transaction date. This applies additional financial pressure on Princess to resolve the complaint.
